Most Americans know him as a friendly and familiar presence on PBS, cooking with America’s beloved French Chef, the late Julia Child, and often with his daughter, Claudine. Chef Pepin has also made an indelible mark in the literary world as a former New York Times columnist, as a contributing editor to Food and Wine magazine and as author of twenty cookbooks. He serves as Dean of Special Programs at The French Culinary Institute in New York City and teaches at Boston University. He is one of the most admired and sought-after culinary personalities in the country. Jacques and his lovely wife, Gloria, live in Connecticut; but his heart and soul are French. |

Chef Carpita’s kitchen is warmed by a wood burning stove and outfitted with state of the art culinary accoutrements. Before your class begins, you'll wander the paths of the herb and vegetable gardens on site and walk the footsteps of Vincent Van Gogh. You’ll want to try your hand at a friendly game of Petanque and see how close the boule can come to the cochonnet. Then it’s to the kitchen for a valuable lesson in the world of food from the master chef who recently taught Jacques Pepin the finer points of Egyptian cooking.
